Tuesday - Trip to the museum

Well it was still raining this morning. And it rained and rained! Good for the garden though! (I won't be saying that if its still raining tomorrow!)

Since it was wet we decided to go to the Museum in Nelson this morning. There is a Da Vinci Machines exhibition on which was interesting but we probably didn't appreciate it as much as some. Da Vinci was quite an amazing inventor - invented all sorts of things which i didn't realise! We were pleased we went early morning as lots of other people also thought it was a good way to spend a wet day so it was getting quite busy by the time we left. We had a look around the shops and by the time we got home at lunchtime the rain was beginning to ease. By 3pm the sun was shining again - yahoo!

Not much more happened today. Mum and I went for a walk around the immediate streets around here in the evening - Findlay came on his bike. Nice evening although it is now a bit hot and muggy after all the rain. G&K getting on OK. Had a text to say they are at Opoutere tonight. The rain has reached them and I think they will have a wet day tomorrow then the forecast is for better weather which is good. I am sure they will be very comfortable in their Mecedes campervan though!
