Wednesday January 9th - Sunny again

Well the rain has stopped as expected and the garden is looking much livlier after the soaking. Unfortunately that also means the weeds will have had a good watering too!

After visiting our friend Raewyn this morning for a cup of tea and a walk around her garden we went to the shops in Richmond for a look around. Richmond has a good variety of shops. In the Mall there are the usual clothing shops, shoe shops, chemists etc but on the main street there are some gift shops, newsagents, sports shops, green grocers etc so there is a good variety. Mum, Findlay and I had a look around while Niall met some of his friends and "hung out at the mall!" - which seems to be the thing to do when you are 14! We got home for lunch and had a lazy afternoon then Mum and I went to the local berry farm to pick some raspberries and boysenberries to have with the pavlova for pudding after tea. Yummy! I had meant to take a picture of it but it was eaten too quickly. This is all that is left!
